They do what they promise to do for you. That means alot.luis hernandezSeptember 11, 2022We live in SW Miami-Dade. We hired Grace Roofing to replace our original (25 year old roof) with a new one. The crew that was sent to install the new roof in April was VERY fast and efficient - even our neighbors remarked how quick they worked. We appreciated that they did not start work until the tile had arrived as we saw one of our neighbors wait several months with the paper exposed on their roof before their contractor finished their roof. The crew that was sent had no one that speaks English. So be aware of this if you do not speak English and have someone who can translate or you may have to be on the phone with the company to translate to the crew as we did when we had questions during the installation. After the inspections and a month passed, we noticed water coming from under the tile on both sides of our main entry "portage." With MANY attempts to get them to fix it, they finally came out in June after we sent them videos and pictures of the areas in question. Before they came they said it was the gutters. Finally one person came who displayed a very nasty disposition and said, "definitely it's the gutters". He did this from a ladder without inspecting the areas in question. We called the gutter company and they came out and did a water test and showed us there is a gap between the tile and the wall of the portage and where there are no tiles on the other side of the portage. We called Grace again. The owner of the company came out and did a thorough inspection then proceeded to educate us about how roofs are installed these days. He explained that the gap was intentional because they have learned over the years that to fill the space between the tile and the wall with grout causes more leaks than if the water is allowed to run under the tile but above the water barrier that was laid down before the tile to prevent leaks. He also explained that we have a "flat roof" in the area on the other side of the portage where we have no tiles because this roof type requires no tile; a different application was applied. He explained and showed us that water does run under the tiles and that it is fine. The tile that wraps around the edge of the roof line on the sides (which was not part of our original roof) inhibits gutters being installed to redirect this water so we will have to have a special build-out for the gutters or just live with a moldy mess on the portage floor. My suggestion to the company would be to be more understanding when customers see such things as water coming from under tiles and take the time to educate us sooner in the process rather than allow our frustration to build. If this suggestion would have been followed, I would gladly have given this company a 4 star rating (the non-English speaking crew and wrap around tile on the edge is still a disappointment).Alyce RitterAugust 1, 2022To Grace Roofing Mr. Charles is a great salesman he goes above and beyond his duties to assist your customers his attitude is perfect and his manners is fantastic I think he can be a great asset to your company. i will recommend you all at any time.
